Twingo Extreme 2008 starting problem.
I am new to this forum and would like to ask for help with a Twingo problem.
Twingo Extreme 2008.
We have owned this car from new and passed it onto our daughter,42000 miles.
About a month ago we started having problems with the car starting, it would start normally do a journey and then wouldn't start at all, no turn over, nothing when you turned the key.
AA came out towed it to a garage and they said they thought it was the crank sensor, which they changed.
Went ok for a couple of weeks then same happened again, AA came and they said possible electrical fault, after a while it started and I took it to an independent Renault specialist who run some tests and said he thought it was the starter motor,
had this changed and got it home but still had the same problem, he had it back and after checking with some Renault main dealer mechanics told me that a small batch of Twingo's had a electrical fault which Renault couldn't rectify and the only fix was to remove the F8 fuse or disconnect the battery and then it would start.
Has anyone come across this problem before, if so is there a better solution.
I find it strange that its not happened before a month ago.
Sorry for long post and thanks in advance for any help.
