Twingo Not Meeting Expectations?

I've heard from a Renault salesperson that the Twingo so far has met less than 50% of its projected orders/pre orders. Sounds dreary on the surface, but I believe it comes down to no information. With little available in the way of specs, pricing and kit how could anyone reliably put money down on a vehicle that is much more guesswork at the current juncture!

Of course this is all officially unofficial...

So if your opinion is right, does that mean that we can expect the Twingo to still be successful once it releases more of its information to the public? People are just laying in wait to see if the Twingo is more than just a pretty face.

Perhaps, I have no clue if Twingo will even be successful at all. But it is difficult to make a solid commitment based on internet pictures. Brochure's have not even been issued yet...

This is a good point. I think that perhaps it is too soon to say if the Twingo is dead or not, but it definitely isn't a good sign. I mean, Renault was expecting to have more orders in by this point.

Perhaps they will re-evaluate so that they can save their skins here.
