Fuel Blowback

Hi all, I'm having trouble when refueling the Twingo. I find it difficult to get a full tank without getting around a quarter to half a litre spraying out of the filler neck.
Has anyone else experienced this on the Twingo. I've never had a car do this before in many, many years of driving.
I always try to make sure the nozzle is fully home each time & yet, for some reason, it doesn't seem to stop the overflow.
Having said that, from time to time, it will fill normally, that is up until the first cut-out, without overflowing, but many times it makes a mess.
I'm wondering if it's something common to this model, or just mine (me)
Cheers, Steve ...
