Cruise Control in Twingos without one

Hi all.
Just had an information, not sure if it is true because i did not try for myself yet but here goes.
In all Twingo 3 trims there is a speed limiter but only in Dynamique there is speed limiter+cruise control. Well, it seems that in fact all trims have both, but there is only one small difference. Dynamique has control switch for both and lower trims have control switch for limiter only.
As i have heard, You only need to buy dual switch, replace single switch with that dual and voilla, You have Cruise Control also.
I've got that info from German Twingo3 forum and over there at local Renault dealership dual switch costs around 25 euros.
If someone have tried this allready, please confirm...

I've seen this on other cars, it's often too expensive for them to make lots of different variations so the wiring etc. tends to be there.

For 25 Euro it would be worth trying

Funny, I logged on to ask the exact same question.
Has anyone tried?

Well I've done it! And it works. Plug and play. Almost no tools needed.

My twingo is a non turbo with a foctory fitted limiter. The part number for my car is 25 55 036 53R.
All you do give a sturdy tug to the rear of the surround for the gearleaver, it is only "clipped" into place.

CAREFUL!!! It is hinged at the front edge, so don't go beast mode or you will rip it apart. There are 5 yellow clips. One at the very back and two on either side.
You'll need a small screwdriver to CAREFULLY pry the switch out of the housing.
That's it. Jjob done.

The switch cost me about 200 danish kroner, which is roughly about 20

Enjoy.

I purchased a used 2016 Twingo with the speed limiter only. Picked up a cruise/limiter switch on eBay and just installed it. The trim around the gearshift came off easily, just used a small screw driver to pry up the back (thanks for the tip that it is hinged at the front. Disconnected the Eco and Limiter wiring, which makes it easier to get at the limiter switch. It is a bit fiddly to get out, but a small screw drive and a bit of pressure on the tabs on the switch and it popped out. Fitted the cruise/limiter switch and went for a drive. It works perfectly (can only set cruise over 30Kmh). Thanks for the information.
Regards, Tom
