Where is the engine air intake?

As in the one that leads into the air box/filter?

I always like to know where it is, or more importantly how high it is, to give a indication of what sort of depth of water you can wade through before you get to a dangerous level - given that Renault have form in this area for stupid level intakes (Espace I think it was that would suck air into the engine if you went into much above a puddle) I think it would be a useful thing to know!

You can see where the GT has it's intake here. My guess is the normal ones are around that area, in the wheel well maybe?

Good point. So perhaps upper left of the engine (as you look at the back of the car)? Hopefully not a fake intake on the GT!

It did cross my mind that it could be fake but they wouldn't do that, would they!?

The air intake is under wheelarch, it's very obvious if you look.
I think on passenger side if I remember. But as car in garage, I can't go out and check!
